Mining

We take part in every phase of a mining project lifecycle, from the feasibility to the start up. We partner with major mining companies providing Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Project Management solutions, executing successful and sustainable capital mining developments. We design, build and maintain mineral processing plants, material handlings, water and slurry conveying systems, among other facilities, meeting top-industry schedule, quality and safety requirements.

Our broad experience in the mining segment allows us to design and build mineral-processing plants, industrial and service structures and buildings, water pipelines, slurry pipelines and civil works, such as tailings dams, routes, access roads and ports. We also provide maintenance and operational services to mining plants and facilities.

In the last 25 years, we have successfully developed about 50 challenging copper, gold, silver, zinc, potassium and lithium ore mining projects for top mining companies such as Anglo American, Antofagasta Minerals, BHP Billiton, Barrick, CAP, Chinalco, Codelco, Glencore Xstrata and Vale.

Our extensive expertise worldwide enables us to cover EPC of mineral processing facilities and related infrastructure. Services comprise design and construction of green field and expansion of existing facilities. Some recent projects include EPC services for Pascua Lama, the first bi-national (Chile-Argentina) open pit mining project of gold, silver, copper and other minerals; the construction of the Hydrometallurgical Plant at an average of 4,500 meters above sea level in Toromocho Copper Project (Peru), EPCM services to expand Huasco Valley iron production for CAP Minería (Chile), and basic and detail engineering, procurement, construction management and start up of open-cut polymetallic Pirquitas mine project (Argentina).

We are a global leader in the design and construction of all types of conveying systems in harsh conditions. In Chile, world’s largest copper producer country, we have built the major water and slurry conveying systems across the Andes and the Atacama Desert, always in accordance with environmental regulations.
